You spend the rest of the day patching it up, giving it a bath, and taking care of it in general. It was soon late into the night, and you were exhausted. You retreated to bed, undressing first as you normally do. You expected the dog to stay downstairs or something, but surprisingly, it instead laid down on the foot of your bed. It didnt seem to be trying to sleep, though. It just looked at you, as if waiting. Creepy.

As you finally start to doze off, it immediately...
