Absorb the neighborhood

Before anyone could react, Mellisa made a split second decision and placed her hands firmly on the ground where her home had once been. She let out an ear-piercing scream of pleasure as every house, person, road, car... Everything connected to the ground within half a mile of her was pulled in her direction, shrinking as it went. When the process was finished, Mellisa stood up to survey the results.

From her height, which had to around half a mile high by this point, she could see that everything in a half a mile radius had been absorbed, leaving a previously hidden flat layer of dirt behind.
