With her new intellect, she could easily deduct that if books contained knowledge, lit candles must contain the ability to create fire! She hurried to the living room, grabbed a tea-light and lit it. Melissa carefully absorbed it, making sure she didn't burn herself.
"Now, let's see..."
She didn't know what to focus on exactly, so she just thought of fire. Soon enough, a tiny flame (as big as the flame from one single tea-light) appeared above her hand palm
It was pretty cool indeed, but a tiny flame like this couldn't do much harm, and would get blown out by the wind almost instantly. So, Melissa tried absorbing more lit candles, and when she couldn't find any more candles, she thought of fire again. The flame in her hand palm had grown quite a lot, now having a diameter of about 10 cm. She knew that this could get fun
Another thing she thought of was electricity. By absorbing electrical apparatus and wires, she should be able to control the flow of electricity within her body, and have the ability to aim a small bolt of lighting. After absorbing every piece of electric apparatus she could find, growing about 2 feet in the process, She tried aiming at a certain spot on the ground, and unsurprisingly, the bolt hit the target straight-on.
Melissa really enjoyed her new powers, but she wondered what to do next
