Melissa decided to make herself the tallest person in the school. That would surely garner her some attention.
'But who to steal it from?...' she thought.
Her mind immediately thought of Rebecca. Rebecca was a friend of hers who was somewhat shy. Her shyness came from her extraordinary height. She was 6'5", taller than most of the basketball players in her school. Her friend had once told her that she would love to see what it would be like to just be a bit shorter for a change. Melissa grinned a little bit, knowing that she had the potential to make both her and her friend's wishes come true at the same time.
Then, as if on cue, Rebecca happened to walk by. Rebecca was a blond haired girl with green eyes. Her attire was a little tomboyish, as most of the clothes she would prefer to wear were made for shorter girls. She wore a simple shirt and pants. Upon seeing her friend, Melissa smiled and signaled her to come over to her. Rebecca noticed it as she came over and hugged her friend.
"Hey Melissa, how are you?"
"I'm fine Rebecca..." Her voice trailed off, as she immediately began the process of absorbing her height. It didn't take long for the power to kick in. Melissa's original height was 5'5", about average for a girl her age. But as she hugged her slowly shrinking friend, she inched up. By the time they finished their huge, Melissa was already at a height of 6'0". Rebecca, who had just lost 7 inches of her height to Melissa's power, now stood slightly shorter than her at 5'10''. Again, no one seem to have noticed the change in height, not even Rebecca herself.
"I need to find where you buy your clothes at. This is not working for me anymore..." Rebecca commented, looking down at herself and feeling a little embarrassed at her tomboyish looks.
Melissa barely noticed her words as she was stunned at the sudden height increase. In an instant, she was at a height of the average man. She looked around the class and noticed more guys were beginning to look at her, which made her smirked a little bit.
Despite this new perspective, Melissa wanted to be taller still. There were still a few people that were an inch or two taller than her, and Melissa wanted to be at least a foot taller than anyone in the room. She looked back at her friend again and wondered if she should continue to absorb her height. Or she could find some other people who had more than enough height for her to take...
