The plane to New France was the most luxurious Tiffany had ever been on. Not only was it a private one, but the furniture inside was made for royalty, designed for comfort. There was also no noise in the passenger cabin. The only thing that annoyed her was the food. All of it was so bad for her health. Sandwiches that contained a good half pound of meat slathered in mayonnaise. Cupcakes the size of her fist with the most decadent frosting. And for desert a three layer chocolate cake and ice cream. And she ate them. She would not have done so under normal circumstances, but these were far from normal. During the eight hour flight she became quite hungry, enough that she forced herself to ignore her instincts to avoid eating such things. It was also the only food available. This will only be a one time thing,{i/} Tiffany told herself. Her mother and two sisters also ate. Her brother did as well, but not as much. An announcement came over the intercomm.“It is time for your first briefing as members of the royal family.” And they went.
Tiffany and her family sat down in the briefing room, where an obese maid sat in front of a power point projector with the first slide reading Welcome to the royal family. “Welcome to the royal family,” she said. “This first briefing is about the cultural traditions of New France.” She went to a slide that showed a morbidly obese woman being served by several attendants. “The primary tradition of New France is of royal obesity. The reason for this is that the royal family must embody the wealth of the nation. And only rich people can become fat.” “No way. I’m not getting fat!” Tiffany shouted. “Then your family cannot become rulers of the realm” “Tiffany, just go along,” Elizabeth said, unwilling to relinquish the throne she had just acquired. “No!” Tiffany shouted. “Can I keep the realm?” Elizabeth asked. “Only if the whole family becomes fat. If you wish to keep the kingdom under your guidance, you can either send her to a force feeding camp or have her gain weight on her own. Willingly.”
