It was on the parking lot of a secondary school where the fate of the world would be sealed. Samantha was on the way to her car, alone as she heard a voice in her head to turn around. It was the voice of an angel with commanding effects. She had no other choice than to do as it said.
"Hello Samantha." the young women said in a soft voice.
It was the same voice she heard before. The same voice that told her to turn around. The women was beautiful - even Samantha had to admit that. Probably even more than she was. The feeling of hatred came up in her. How did this women dared to be prettier than she was?! Cindy smiled.
"Don't hate me for what I am." She said gently.
"Make it short." was Samantha's harsh response to the lady she didn't like.
"I have chosen you to be the one to protect my belongings." She said calmly. "I want to make you a present. Something you desire most above everything"
"I love presents. Give it to me and maybe I'll like it."
"It is not that easy, Samantha. Your life will change completely."
"That's it. I like my life as it is. Goodbye." Sam turned around and walked to her car.
"Stop." she heard the voice in her head again.
"Cut the crap! I'm leaving!" she yelled.
"Don't you understand that I am a divine being? You are nothing compared to me, but I am willing to give you power for your own. You deserve it."
Sam turned around.
"A divine being?! Haha, don't make me laugh."
"Is the voice in your head not proof enough?"
The quarterback, Barren Stone, approached the two of them. Barren was the most popular guy in school but Sam treated him as some kind of security service. She just had to point someone out and he would have a problem.
"Hi Barry." She greeted him in her sweet charming voice, but his gaze was completely fixed onto the new girl. He walked straight up to the stranger.
"Barren, darling. This women here is harassing me would you please... What the fuck?!"
Barren knelt down in front of the women and bowed over that he could reach the muddy heel of the women. Without a word he started licking.
"He seems to know what I am." the women said casually. "You won't need this shoelicker anymore if you take my present. In fact you have no choice." She lifted the sole of her shoe and immediately Barren tried to reach it with his tongue. Then he kissed the tip of her boot and got up.
