"I was thinking Seth and I could go see a movie." You say after choking down a bite of your waffle.
Amy pitches in.
"Do you guys want a ride there? It'd be a long walk." She looks down at you while you swallow more of your waffle.
"Seth just got his license. Have you seen his car? His parents restored him a 1998 Stallion. No way I'm missing out on a ride in that!"
"You boys and your cars... Tell Seth he better not race anyone, Stallion or no Stallion."
"I will."
Your phone beeped and you flipped it open to see Seth asking whether you were ready to go now or wait for the afternoon showing. You let him know that you were fine with going now. Your phone beeped again. On the screen it said, "Sarah's coming just in case it's packed so we don't have to sit with a stranger. You'll have to get a ride in the Stallion some other time." You felt slightly sad, but Sarah was just about the nicest person you had ever met. She lived next door to Seth, who was adopted by his family.
They were a happy pair but, Seth was sometimes uneasy as on the rare occasion Seth would have nightmares that left him messed up for the next few days, and still shaken for the next week afterward. You have asked what they are, but he just shakes his head and makes an excuse. His family has gotten therapists but none have cracked into his problems. Despite this, he is always nearly the average guy except for the nightmares.
Sarah, on the other hand has a nearly perfect life. Her family owns a huge company specializing in making things easier for the size difference between the genders. They are multimillionaires, yet Sarah is completely unspoiled. She even donates nearly her entire allowance (which isn't by any means a small amount) to separate charities across the world.
You see Sarah running with her hands cupped. You walk towards her and realize that...
