The sound of babbling water woke Riolu from his poor, lack of food induced trance, and found himself at the local waterfall.
The waterfall was a beautiful place. All the Pokémon from the forest came here one way or another to get a drink of water or bathe or just play around in. Riolu had always meant to come here, but he couldn't truly appreciate its beauty when he was starving. Instead of taking in the sights, the cute little thing looked around for anything to eat.
Nope. Just water.
Riolu moaned out of frustration and pain. "I just wanna eat. Is that too much to ask!" He said to no one in particular. Riolu went to the water and sat down on the sand.
"Why do I have to be so small" Riolu started to cry. "I train myself every day so I can get stronger and evolve, but no matter what I do, I'm still the cute and small Pokémon every one takes pity on!" Now Riolu really was crying. He broke out into a waterworks of tears and was only compounded by the empty feeling in his stomach.
However, Riolu's blubbering suddenly halted as he smelt something in between his sniffles. " 'Hic' it smells like...smells like..." He opened his eyes wide.
"FOOD!" Riolu shouted with upmost glee. He instantly got up and ran to the source of the smell. It smelled so good, it was like nothing he ever experienced before. This was the first time that he ever got so happy about eating, but after that incident with that bully Machoak, he needed to prove he wasn't the weakling everyone thought of him. L
