It's...it's definitely coming from the old building.
"Someone...hel..." the voice called again, slowly overtaken by the rain's drizzle.
No one should be in there, in that building. That building has been abandoned ever since the Mayor declared it, "An offense to all professional builders and an example of how not to build a building." It was falling apart true, but not much of the building was actually damaged. You've hidden in that building on a few occasions to escape Carson and your sister.
Standing up slowly, you try to tune out the rain to listen for the voice, whoever it is could be in trouble.
"H.....p...."
The voice is still there. It can't be just your imagination. Should you really go in though? True, you have gone into the building, but it wasn't far. It was only-
Suddenly, a great smashing sound reverberated through the air, shaking the ground. Startled, you grab both your bag and parasol and hurriedly step away from the bridge, looking towards where the sound came from while opening the umbrella.
The building! It...part of it caved in! That person...!
You're going in, whoever it is could be badly hurt or...dead. Besides, the bus won't be around for a while. Hesitantly, you walk to the large doors and push one open. It's pretty much the same, but part of the roof has collapsed, around the back it looks like. The voice isn't there though. Perhaps they were further back?
"Hey!" you call out, voice quivering slightly, "You ok?"
No one responded. Perhaps they didn't want to be discover...
Red liquid is seeping across the floor.
Oh god. Whoever it is is hurt, really bad. Quickly, you rush inside and quickly scan the area. The building used to be a warehouse, but most of its empty shelves have stood there with empty boxes littered about. There's nothing important about that however, you need to find the person who's heavily injured, and quick. You scoot around the area quickly before coming across....coming...across...
Lying along the back wall was a relatively unharmed Anthro. Not just any Anthro either, this...this was a big Anthro a snake. A big, long snake. Heck, it had to be nearly fifteen feet long! You don't know much about the Snake variety, but it looks unbelievably scaly. It's also tied up. Heavily. As well as asleep. Where's the blood coming from then...? Then you spot it. A little way into the rubble was part of a leg sticking out, oozing blood which the rain claimed.
Creeeeeaaaaak
Uh oh. You look up. The ceiling isn't looking so good. It's slowly turning downward. The roof won't hold for more than a minute...!
Well...you have to make a decision, now.
