Jason walked slowly in the direction of his house while he pondered the iPhone app he'd been playing with. He desperately wished it could be real, that he could add muscle to his body with the tap of a button. The image was so real that he could hardly believe it was a phone that was able to render it. Jason thought about different ways he could ask Laura about it without her knowing he'd been playing with it. Before he knew it he arrived at home.
Jason sighed. He didn't really want to waste a beautiful day indoors, but he didn't know what else to do. He didn't like going to the beach, the comic shop was closed on Sundays, Laura had somehow ditched him and he didn't have any other friends. He walked around the side of the house and sat on a deck chair overlooking the beach. Off in the distance to his right he could see a large group of people gathered as if there was a party or something going on. He again began to lament his sickly physique, if he were in better shape he wouldn't mind joining the crowd down there but as it was he was embarrassed and felt like an outsider.
Jason felt his phone buzz in his pocket and pulled it out assuming it was a text from Laura. He discovered it was one from Vanessa instead. He squinted at his phone, "Since when did she have my number? For that matter since when did I get hers?" Jason had always harbored a fair sized crush on Laura's buxom older sister, but they'd never been close enough to swap messages. This text, though, seemed very informal.
"Watcha' doing?" it read.
Jason paused for a moment unsure of how to respond. His heart was racing; could he really strike up a friendship with Vanessa? He didn't want to blow it so he just responded truthfully, "Nothing really. Just relaxing on the back porch."
Seconds later Vanessa's response came back: "Cool. Don't move, I'll be right there! :D"
Jason stared at his phone, his brain was going a mile a minute trying to put the pieces together. Why in the world would Vanessa come to his place? When did he even get her phone number entered into his phone?
Two minutes later Vanessa came walking around the side of the house to join Jason on the patio. Immediately Jason noticed something was different about Vanessa, actually several things were different. He had never seen her in glasses before but now she wore a thick rimmed pair. She also wore no makeup and had her hair pulled back in a simple pony tail. She wore a Star Wars t-shirt (another first for Jason) that fit snug over her gorgeous DD breasts and a pair of denim shorts that showed off her lovely, long legs. However, the more Jason looked the more he saw that even her body was different. She was no where near fat, but her formerly tight and toned physique had softened; her stomach showed the hint of a pooch whereas she formerly had fairly sculpted abs and Jason was pretty sure her butt was a bit bigger. Regardless she was still among the most beautiful women Jason had ever seen and his mouth went dry when she sat down in an adjoining seat.
Vanessa looked at the group gathered in the distance that Jason had spotted before. "Looks like the swarm is in full force today."
"Yeah," Jason had no idea what she was talking about.
"Have you read that Swamp Thing trade I let you borrow yet."
Jason's confusion grew. "You didn't lend that to me, Laura did."
Vanessa furrowed her brow behind her glasses. "Why in the world would Laura lend out my comics? She never even reads them since she spends all her time with Captain Chunkhead."
Jason was at a loss. "Who?"
Now Vanessa looked concerned. "What do you mean 'who?' Major Musclehead. Lunk Rockhard? Greg? My brother? The muscle phenom and Gods gift to bodybuilders everywhere?"
They sat in silence for a moment while Jason tried to wrap his head around what was happening.
"Are you feeling ok?" Vanessa asked placing her hand in Jason's knee.
"No, not really. Ever since I found...." Jason trailed off. Ever since he'd found and played with Laura's phone. He'd made Greg really big and now Vanessa was calling him a muscular prodigy. What if he really had changed things? Maybe things had changed enough to where Laura hung out with Greg and Vanessa was somehow the nerd of the family. Did that make sense? Was it possible? Here she was looking the part and talking about comics, should he wait and see what he could find out? Maybe he should just come clean about Laura's phone and see if Vanessa had any answers.
