From her sorrowful state, she looked up at you and smiled, much to your relief.
“Thank...you. Sorry about freaking out earlier on the table. It’s just that...at my size I feel so...vulnerable.”
“I understand. Look, I know how easy it seems for me to take advantage of you, but...I wouldn’t, not to you. You’re my friend now. I couldn’t do that to a friend.”
You could see Ellie looking at you, seemingly emotionless. I went too far. She definitely doesn’t trust me now you think to yourself.
Finally, she gains her wits
“Tony, while your sentiments make me grateful to have been found by you, thanking you over and over again is getting tiring. But still...thank you.”
Both of you chuckle a little.
After finishing the show, you take Ellie up to your room. It was pretty average: a bed, a desk, and a television. You sit on your bed and place Ellie on you right night table.
“Well, this is my room. It’s nothing special but it’s better than nothing. I doubt you want to sleep with me so you can sleep on my night table. Let me just make something real quick.”
You go over to your desk and pull together some scraps from an arts and crafts bin you have in your room. Despite your age and gender, you still enjoyed making small crafts, and now they were perfect for what you needed.
Grabbing your small creation, you bring it over to the night table.
“I hope this is ok for now. This is all I can make with what I have.”
It’s a little bed, complete with a foam mattress, a cotton pillow, and cover. Ellie looked over it curiously. She jumped on and screamed herself with glee.
“This is perfect! Thank you!”
“I’m glad you like it. Now, time for bed. Sleep well.”
