They met eyes for a brief moment as the air seemed to still. Jessica surprisingly nodded and nothing more. Strange, something definitely strange was going on. It almost seemed as if Jessica wasn't interested with her. For the first time ever she seemed to ignore her.

Mrs. Smith pushed up her glasses.

"Natasha, why don't you sit next to Jessica today?"

"Really? Of all the luck..."

"No complaining please. Just take your seat."

Reluctantly the poor woman sat down in her hard plastic chair. Being tiresome Natasha spread her legs a bit as her pregnant belly mashed between them. Placing both hands on her stomach Natasha could feel her new twins kicking in excitement.

It was just so much.

"Ugh."

For a brief moment Jessica glanced at her before writing down some notes. It was hard to pay attention for the minutes that passed by. The feeling of sickness she experienced earlier was slowly evaporating yet so many question kept popping in her own head. All with one single conclusion.

This had to be the work of the old man. But why would he-

"Natasha, earth to Natasha?"

"Huh?"

It was Jessica and for some reason she looked at her concerned.

What on earth is going on here?!

"Hey, Jiggly ass! Stop falling asleep!"

"What?"

"Jeez, your really out of it aren't you? You should take it easy."

Natasha looked at her quizzically.

"Wait, why are so concerned about me? You hate me."

"Look, I'll admit I can get jealous of you sometimes ok, sometimes. That doesn't mean I'm completely heartless ok?"

"I find that hard to believe."

"Pfft whatever."

For the moment the two of them sat there in silence. Even now Natasha wondered if she should even try to break the ice. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea. You never know sometimes.

"Look Jessica, I'm sorry if I've been rude to you in any way ok? I'm just exhausted."

For a moment Jessica smiled a bit.

Was that a good sign or a bad one?

"Jessica? What on earth are you smiling about?"

"It's just nice to know that even someone as smart as you can do something dumb like this."

"Look, I don't even know how this happened!"

"Pfft! Your not fooling anyone. If it helps I've slept with guys too though I used protection."

"Whatever! I wanted to be pregnant ok!"

Jessica stop talking, astounded by what was said.

Natasha stopped dead in her tracks in deep thought.

"Wait, why did I say that? What compelled me to act that way! When did I ever make a conscious decision on any of this?"

"Wow, it's nice to know there's a woman underneath all that brain."

"Jessica..."

"What? It's nice to know that were not so different after all."

"I-I don't even know who the father is?!"

Jessica stared at her dumb founded.

"Wait, what do you mean you don't know?!"

"I don't know!"

"You can't be serious! Even I couldn't forget something like that!"

"But, whose the father?!"

...
