He asks you how you feel about all of this?

When settled next to you, Walt leans on a pillow and turns to you.
"So Julie, what do you make of all this?" He asks.
"What do you mean?" You ask rolling over so you can face him.
"I mean this whole thing, our life that we have been given, the kids, our roles, all of it." He seems like he is genuinely interested in you opinion.
Careful to keep to the rules, you start. "I'm not too comfortable with it at the moment, it feels weird, almost surreal, maybe that will pass but being a housewife, I don't know if will get used to that. You know I had to tell Mary she couldn't play baseball today just because she is a girl."
"And you were right to do it." Walt adds. "I know how you feel about it no feeling real yet but you've got to see the merits of life now. You don't have to worry about work or money and get to look after the kids. I'm certainly already enjoying my new freedoms."
"But am I really free?" You ask. "I feel as though I am trapped in this house and dependant on you for everything."
"That's because you are." Walt replies. "But it doesn't mean you are any less of a person. Your work is just as essential as mine. You cook, clean and care while I provide, protect and repair. You can't really have one without the other. You shouldn't feel repressed just because we have different roles and that mine is the leader of the family and relationship. We are both essential."
This somehow cheers you up slightly and makes you a bit more comfortable with you situation.
"Like I said, I know it will take some getting used to but I know you and I are an going to make this marriage work."
At this, Walt kisses you on the forehead, turns of the light and closes his eyes.
"Good night Dear." He says.
"Good night" you reply before closing your own eyes. Now more ready to face your new life.
