Jen was in a typical slow as sludge day at work. Normally, the Penalty Box would be crowded with sports-obsessed customers or local wannabes trying to buy some expensive gear to falsify advertise their athletic potential. Not today though. The last customer to make an appearance was 2 hours ago.
"Man, could this day move any slower?" the red-haired sports sales associate complained. Unlike her friends, Jen never got fired from her job at the Penalty Box and to anyone's amazement, she could put up with her drill sergeant like boss's less than friendly orders.
We could all use that resilience. Anyway, she was about to walk out to meet up with her friends at the Big Squeeze. Before she could step out the door, she was halted by an all too common, "Masterson!" "Yes, sir?" she asked.
"Working hours aren't over yet." he said, "I need you to go around the back to bring in something important." "Important? Like what?" she asked. "Just some new energy drinks our store made a contract to sell. Three boxes are out back." he said.
Following her boss's orders, Jen went to deliver the boxes of energy drinks into the store. If it weren't for the trolley cart, she wouldn't have been able to push them inside. It took a good 10 minutes to push each one inside the store, but she got it done.
"These are energy drinks? They feel more like anvils." she groaned as she parked the last one. Then she looked on the ground. One of the energy drinks was on the ground. "I know I shouldn't drink one of our products, but I am thirsty." she said.
Opening it up, she drank it down. To her surprise, it was orange-pineapple flavor. As she finished her first gulp, she groaned as she felt herself changing.
