Chapter #3

Go jogging in the park

    by: Karla Author IconMail Icon
Vicky rumbled out happily as she got ready to head out, she had always enjoyed her exercising, especially when it was as simple as running around in the park near where she lived. Her breed had been built for speed and endurance, often meaning she had far too much energy to deal with, so being able to burn it off was always a fun experience to her.

She rushed around her bedroom, tail nearly wagging behind her toned, flexing rear as she ran, rapidly gathering up her selected clothing. She pulled on a pink bra and hipsters, before pulling on a pair of loose grey sweat pants and a tight fighting white tank-top. She contemplated wearing trainers, but decided against it, she preferred to feel the earth against her feet when she was running.

She didn’t take any time to rest, just rushing down the stairs and out the front door in a flash, letting the door slam behind her as she tore out into the street where she lived. She lived out in the suburbs of the city, her family’s house one of dozens like it in the long row of houses, a great spot for her, close to her job, her school and her favourite park. It had been one of the few reasons why she had never learnt to drive, along with her lack of concentration when just sitting around in a car when she’d rather be running.

It didn’t take long for her to reach the park, the dog passing several other joggers as she kept at a near sprint for as long as possible. Her maw hung open as she ran, tongue hanging out the side as she panted loudly into the cool morning air, feeling the breeze ruffling through her dense fur as she just ran for as long as she possibly could. She constantly sniffed at the air when she was sprinting, keeping touch with all of those around her, sensitive sensory glands meaning she could pick up nearly every other person around her, many of which she recognised but some were totally new to her.

She began to slow eventually as she closed near the centre of the park where the crowds were the thickest, but also where she could grab a quick drink from one of the water fountains before she continued on with her run. She slowed right next to the large water fountain that marked the centre of the park, dozens of other furs of all ages standing around it, chatting with each other or just enjoying the day. She passed over to one of the small water fountains by the edge of the clearing and leant in to take a long drink, letting the cold water cool her.

She straightened up slowly, letting out a happy growl to herself as she just looked around, seeing who all was around today.
