With a thump and a wheeze, you landed face-first on the carpet, bouncing up and holding your stomach in both pain and an attempt to get your breath back. You were lucky the carpet was so thick, anything thinner and you might've ended up with some broken bones, or ended up dead. It didn't take you very long to get yourself back up, having to take extra care just to keep yourself from sinking in. Luckily, you were light enough.
On the topic of light, something felt a bit off about where you were and your surroundings. Something felt ominous... You took a few steps to get away from where you previously were, but something felt uneasy...something felt...off.
You suddenly realize what it was. Looking around you, you found yourself cast in a shadow, one that was steadily growing darker and closer to you. You turn your head and look up, eyes widening as you see....
