You lay back on your bed in the orphanage that you have lived in since you were six. Your reading one of the only fiction books you could find in the dingy, old place. While the building could use some touching up, you really couldn't complain about the people. There were nice enough to not bother you with tasks that were important. You rarely get any sleep. This leaves you tired and unable to stay focused at most times.
"(IYNH), good news," says on of the care takers says has she comes in. "A family wants to adopt you."
"Really?" you ask, raising an eyebrow as you look over your book at her. You knew from when you got here that there were slim chances that you would get adopted, you accepted that a long time ago. However, learning that a family actually wanted to adopt you was a bit unexpected.
"Yep," she says, smiling warmly. "They want me to drive you out to their house though. Said something about a surprise."
Over the next half hour, you gather your things and say your goodbyes. The caretaker that gave you the news drives you out to the house.
"Have a good life, kid," she says, as she drops you off in front of a mansion an hour later. It's in a secluded area. Far away from any towns or neighbors, and surrounded by trees. Just the way you like it.
"I think it's getting better already," you reply. "Thanks for everything."
You begin to walk up to the front door with your suitcase in your hand. You knock on the door when you reach it and a ___________ opens it.
