As Josh stared at the rainfall outside, he thought about all of the crazy stuff that had happened to him since he had gotten home. His pets were strangely attracted to him and the furniture in his room was constantly changing. It was crazy!
Then Josh thought about the weird boy at church. Everything that had happened had occurred after that strange encounter. Did that mean he was really God?
The idea filled him with excitement as he began to think about what to do next. He was suddenly snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of pouring rain on his window. Josh realized that with the power of God, he could do anything, including stopping the rain!
Josh lifted his hand up towards the window. "Rain, I command you to stop!" he said, feeling a bit foolish while doing it.
However, the stormy clouds immediately turned back into their usual white color and the rain cleared up. The clouds parted and gave way to the sun, which shone down on the earth with radiant warmth.
Josh smiled, giddy with excitement at his first intentional use of his almighty power. Remembering his original intention, Josh put on some fresh clothes and bounded down the stairs.
"Wow, that storm really cleared up fast!" his mom remarked.
"Yeah, it sure did! I'm going to go outside," Josh said, slipping on his sneakers before dashing outside, being careful not to slip on the driveway made smooth by the fresh water.
Josh walked down the street, seeing people begin to come outside and talk to one another about the strange disappearance of the storm. Josh walked by them with a smile on his face, thinking about how wonderful life could be with god powers.
