William sheathed his sword and pulled out his purse. From it he took one shilling and handed it to the hag.

Sure you can't spare another shilling or two?

Take what I've given you and be thankful for it.

William continued onward, but the hag picked up a large jagged stone and hurled it at his head. He quickly fell off his mount, and the woman seized him and stabbed him to death. She stole all his money and valuables and ran away.

Must you be so kind to a beggar? They've no honor. Anyway, the adventure ends here.
