This choice: Sanada's day with Naruto, Sakura and Sai goes similar, but with lots more ramen! • Go Back... No one quite understood what Ino meant when her explanation of their first day out with Lady Sanada; especially not when she warned them about how much she liked food. The poor blonde seemed sore all over, and feverish; almost like she was ready to collapse after her long day with Sanada. However she came back with a new outfit and a stylish pair of bar earrings on Sanada's treat, as she mentioned to Sakura an umpteen million times during their post-mission conversation, so things couldn't have been too unbearable. Sakura had to admit, she wasn't really looking forward to her day out with Lady Sanada.
Well, that wasn't entirely true. She was looking forward to spending time with the obviously socially reserved heiress. Sanada looked like a really nice girl, one that Sakura would get along pretty well with once they got to know each other. Plus, it helped that she was getting a big mission payment, but that wasn't who Sakura was nor had it ever been. What she wasn't looking forward to was a long day out with Naruto and Sai. Sure it was funny for comic relief in hard times, and Naruto was really a sweet guy, but the two of them together- personalities clashing as they usually did- was just a little too much to bear; especially when someone as sheltered as Sanada into the mix, things had a tendency to get pretty hairy. Of course Sai wasn't nearly as socially awkward as he used to be, maybe there was still hope for this little rag-tag Team 7 and Lady Sanada after all?
Anyway, so just like the day before Sanada was met with her personal squad of escorts that would, as predicted, escort her royal rump around town. From everything that had been gathered in the mission report from the opposite squad formed of Ino, Hinata, and Rock Lee, her day was spent exploring the centermost region of town. No accidents or mishaps reported, aside from a mostly mutual lack of fervor and morale. Rock Lee even seemed somewhat... less psychopathology energetic after his day out with Sanada. Though, granted, Naruto did catch a glimpse of Rock Lee on one of his rigorous walks around the Leaf Village while handstanding. So there really wasn't any telling just what was up with Ino and Hinata; or their mysterious Lady Sanada for that matter.
It was Sakura who had the brilliant idea to rotate their individual responsibilities regarding their Lady's security; instead of taking it quite as leisurely as the first group. Naruto, as the one with the shortest attention span, wasn't very observant towards the matter. Not so much dismissive, but it just simply required too much attention to watch every single movement that his overstuffed client took. Attention that was required to make her trip to the Leaf a fun one, so he decided to leave the analytical stuff up to Sakura and Sai and had the last rotation that required outside observation. Sai, being the least social and least attached to the mission at hand, decided to take watchman's post and remain somewhat aloof at all times, only taking the position of full-time tour guide when both Naruto and Sakura had exhausted their turns. As a girl who was relatively easy to talk to but still quite observant, Sakura would take middle ground and fill in spaces left by both positions.
But it was really a hard job keeping up the three separate jobs, especially when Lady Sanada asked so many questions at one time. And when she started remarking on the strong, physical build of both Sai and Naruto, it was pretty hard for them to stay out of the conversation as her chubby face grew red with innocent attraction. In short, she was just a people person! It was hard to ignore her!  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
