Kara Zor-el, known to the world at large as Supergirl hovered in the air above Metropolis. Her cousin, Superman, was away on buisness and had asked her to step in and keep an eye on his city while he was gone. So far Kara had done exactly that. There had been a minor crime wave when people heard Superman was away and she had been forced to step in and stop two hijackings and a bank robbery so far today. Word of her being in the city was starting to spread however and crime was simmering down once more. If this kept up she would almost be able to call this a holiday.
Then Clark would return and she would be shunted out of the big city once more as his helpless little cousin, still not ready for the big leagues.
She could keep this up or maybe she should step up and show them all how deadly she was. If she went down after one of the big guys now and had him behind bars by the time Kal-el returned then he would have to admit how good she was. Right?
Or maybe she should seek some guidance instead of charging in head first. Maybe she did need some help in becoming the equal to her cousin and while crime was backj down now might be the time to go get it.
