The Reset and Undo buttons don't work at all

When the remote hit the floor, the Reset and Undo buttons had broke and no longer functioned. Of course as these were some of the most important functions of the remote, it was bound to cause chaos. But to what degree could the remote no longer reset and undo? Was it just those two buttons now having no effect at all? Did they just appear to have no effect, but in reality the swaps were undone or reset? Or was the issue deeper, causing swaps to not be undone or reset even by the use the same button as before (cannot undo a body swap by swapping bodies with the same person again)?
