Chapter #9

Ashley wonders why she doesn't get along with Ryan

    by: Huit Author IconMail Icon
As Ashley walked up the stairs and by Ryan's room, she noticed that he was there, currently on some video game so he didn't notice her and had a thought. Why were the two of them at each other's throats all the time? Why did they get along so poorly, when now, Ashley could see that they probably shouldn't? Just looking into his room and a glance at what he was playing, she couldn't help but feel an odd sense of familiarity and interest in not just the game he was playing, but the posters of the bands and the music accessories Ryan had. Of course, she was actually familiar with all those things because she was in fact, Ryan, just a version of Ryan that always thought he was Ashley and with that, all of Ashley's memories as well due to how the malfunctioning reset had affected him. But the reset also had the side effect of causing him/her to not think it was possible that the remote caused the change. She paused to think about her and Ryan for a bit.

'I was going to show the remote to Kelly, maybe it would be a cool to share it with Ryan as well?' Ashley thought to herself, the earlier thoughts of sharing it with a friend defaulting to her friend.

"What do you want Ashley?" Ryan suddenly asked, breaking Ashley out of her thoughts. "You're just staring in here like a weirdo."

"Oh, sorry, just lost in thought." Ashley replied, before heading over to her own room, a little startled to bring up what she was thinking.

"Huh, okay..." Ryan muttered, having expected Ashley to tell him off to mind his own business or insult him instead of the small apology.

Meanwhile, Ashley got to her room and flopped onto her bed, checking her text messages. There was a few from friends, but the name that stood out to her was her boyfriend, Luke. She knew she dated him as a status symbol and that he was hot and fun to fuck, but her thought now was that he was an asshole. Not to mention the revolting thoughts of actually having found him hot or even having sex with him. Why would she want to do that with a guy in the first place?

Rather than question the thoughts of why she suddenly hated the guy she dated or the fact that her sexual orientation had somehow suddenly changed, Ashley decided to send a breakup message over to him. It wasn't the first time she had done that, but was the first time she done it without having another guy already lined up.

With that done and Luke blocked, Ashley went back to why she was here in the first place-- to get someone here to have fun with the remote with. Kelly was her first choice, they went way back and she basically did what she did. Which got Ashley to feel a bit bad, as thinking about her memories in hindsight, there was a lot of emotional manipulation that involved Kelly doing things she did not want to do.

The other thought returned to her now about sharing it with Ryan-- it would be a good chance to try fixing their relationship which hadn't been good for a long time now. What better way to help bond but with a reality altering remote?

In the end, she chose to share it with...

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
2. Ryan. Siblings should be better to one another.

3. Something else

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
