"Alright, alright," Ryan said. "I was messing around with this." He held the remote up. "It can swap people's bodies and stuff."
Jake, unaware that he was dressed in his neighbor Claire's clothes, raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"
"I got this weird package this morning, and when I opened it, this remote was in it. Whoever sent it claims that it can swap people's bodies, like I just said. I didn't tell you about it earlier because I thought you would think I was crazy."
"Did you try it out yet?" Jake asked.
"Well, yeah. That's why I was laughing."
"You didn't use it on me, did you?"
"I may have," Ryan said, smiling mischievously. "You wouldn't know if I did, not unless you were holding this with me."
"So I've been swapped?" Jake asked, looking down at his body to see if anything had changed, even though he knew he wouldn't know if it had.
Now, Ryan was left with a choice. He could tell Jake what he had done, and put him back to normal, but he could just let Jake think that he was back to normal already. Seeing him dressed like a girl was pretty hilarious, after all. Since the remote had a reset button, he could always put him back to normal later.
