This choice: run his mother's errands.  •  Go Back...
Chapter #5

run his mother's errands.

    by: Unknown
Ryan decided to go do his mother's errands, taking his mother's place. Ryan grabbed his mother's purse and put the remote inside it and walked over to the bottom of the stairs. "I'll be running my errands, don't burn the house down while I'm away," Ryan said his mother's usual sentence. He heard himself mumbling something and Ashley ignored her as usual. Ryan just shrugged his shoulders and stepped outside.

Ryan smiled as he saw his parents' car in front of him. He did have a driver's permit so he could drive, but he had never driven alone before. That was going to change now. Ryan stepped inside the car, adjusted the mirror and his seat as he learned and then turned the car on. Ryan then slowly drove the car onto the street as he turned on the music. Ryan couldn't help but grin whenever he saw his mother's reflection staring back at him. How weird it was not seeing his own face staring back at him. Ryan then noticed the car in front of him stopping so he quickly pushed the brake. Clearly he could not do two things at once.

Ryan then parked the car near the local supermarket (without any scratches, he had to add, proud). He then stepped inside the supermarket, grabbing a shopping cart and walking down the aisles. Then it hit him; he wasn't sure what to pick. His mother would usually make a list of the things she needed and Ryan forgot it in his haste. How stupid of him! Now what was he supposed to do? Ryan then grabbed the remote out of his purse. This thing caused all of this. But wait, if he were to swap lives with someone else, that person would get his mother's body and life, not knowing they weren't her. Then she would know what to get. That could be an idea or he could just risk it and take something with him. He thought he could remember her telling him what they were low on. It would be more challenging.
