Glorb could hardly contain his excitement at the news that the class would finally focus some attention on the top-tier beasts, the “humans” of this gamma-level planet his class was spending a light-cycle at. Most of the tentacles-on class time was filled just watching their teachers holding up terrified examples of local Earth-beings for the bug-eyed Zorgian young to touch and hold (and in some cases eat) in their quivering pseudopods.
Glorb had a long-fascination with the prolific humans that inhabited Earth. He’d never seen one living, though he’d seen films of them in their strange mating rituals, and immediately knew he wanted a human(s) for his very own as his slave(s)! He’d waited many Zorgian Moonshifts for this chance!
Apparently, his teachers would be randomly grazing from a rural area outside of a larger human burrow known (to them) as “New Bern”, itself a part of a larger above-ground area with scattered megaburrows named “Texas”. Glorb didn’t really care what sort of human he might manage to hide away on the interstellar ride back to their home starsystem, as long as they were relatively young and in good shape. They’d need to be, for some of the ideas Glorb had in swirling around in his gelatinous brains.
The Zorgians (of which Glorb would fit into the young horny variety) tend to be slimy, slow-moving creatures that fit the bill for what one might name a “bug-eyed-monster”. They make up for it with their mighty brains and psionic prowess; not to mention their cool futuristic technology. Although his teachers have given explicit warnings that the students can bring only certain proscribed souvenirs back with them from Earth, living humanoids are most definitely NOT on that limited list of keepsakes.
Glorb would have to figure out a way to snatch his very own living playthings from the harvest his teachers brought on board for their field trip scientific experiments, or else find a way to sneak in and use either the transporter beam or to himself beam down and return with his own tentacle-picked living humans.
As events turn out, Glorb has his choice from one of the following human nests –
