Modern but old fashioned

Ellen sat down next to the house and then put the boy on the ground next to her. Jason thought of running but he knew there was no chance he could outrun the giant girl.
Just then he noticed the strange choice of clothing the giant wore. The realm of Lilliput and Blefescu, although with a similar evolution and history like the rest of the world, didn’t have what society experienced during the 60’s, so although technologically as advanced as our society, their customs and ways of life were still stuck in the 50’s. So the boy found Ellen’s bikini a little shocking.

Jason, being a fan of sci fi B movies, let his imagination run wild for a moment

“She has to be some sort of atomic mutation or experiment” he thought “Or worse.. She must be Blefescu’s latest weapon”

Blefescu and Lilliput were now in a cold war era, just like the US and the Soviet Union were
His thought were interrupted as the giant spoke to him
“My name is Ellen by the way” she spoke with a friendly smile, and then she looked around and asked

“I have been waiting to ask this question since I got here…where in the world am I?”
Jason seemed confused by her weird question
“You are in the republic of Lilliput” he said
When he saw confusion in her face, he added “Aren’t you from Blefescu??”
When she denied, he asked, again his imagination running wild
“Then you must be an alien from outer space, like those I have seen in movies”
Ellen laughed at this. She took notice that they way the boy spoke and the clothes he wore reminded her of the 50’s, but for the moment didn’t pay much attention to it
“I have never heard of those places before” she said “But I assure you that I am not an alien”.

She looked around and
