Jane stared at Emily for a moment. "What?"

"Eat the doughnut."

"But I thought we were-"

"I know what I'm doing. You shook on it." Emily interrupted again.

Jane sighed again, eating the doughnut, and licking the frosting off her fingers. If only food like this didn't taste so good, she thought to herself.

"And another." Emily smiled happily, revealing another doughnut. Jane didn't argue this time.

"And another." Emily revealed another. Was there a whole box in her backpack?

Nine doughnuts later, Jane patted her belly. She felt bloated, but the lingering flavor of frosting hid that well enough.
