"C.J" shouted Rebbecca huring as fast as she could to you. You knew what was coming next, 3...2...1. Rebbecca wrapped you in her strong chubby arms, this time so hard it was almost as if she was trying to deflate all of the air out of you. "Oh, C.J.! Everyone was soooo worried about you, we thought you went into a COMA or something!" Bunnie could even bake the gut buster cake she was so upset."
"No..urgh..I'm alright" you say still in her very tight squeeze. (Inwardly thinking wouldn't be so alright if she didn't let go of you soon.) "Yeah, nurse young said I should take it easy though for the rest of the...day." you finish, as Rebbecca finally finished her hug.
"Oh of course." said Rebbecca agreeing. "but you should at least go see Kate and Bunnie and let them know you're okay."
"Alright Becca, I'll go do that. See you tom-"
*BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG*
Augh! There was that bell again! The academy had one bell that rang five minutes before first period and another that rang one minute before class started to avoid tardies. It was that damn bells fault you had gotten hurt, it had rang, and all those students had came running. Right now though it seemed to be droning on forever way longer than usual. It was so annoying! It rang and rang and rang and rang shaking your eardrums. Suddenly your head hurt, bad, right behind your eyes. The world was spinning, your eyes rolled into the back of your head, things were going black again.
"C.......J....Are you....okay?" you heard Rebbecca ask in super slow motion. She watched mouth agape as you hit the ground (well grass) for the second time today. She hurried over to where you were laying and came as close as she could to your face...She could feel hot tears coming again, just as your eyes suddenly flipped open. Rebbecca jumped back, startled. And that wasn't all you did, you stood up, standing straight and dusting yourself off as if nothing had happened!
"Wha-what?" asked Rebbecca breathlessly and surprised "Are-are you okay?" she asked eyes as wide as dinner plates.
"Never better, Becky" you said taking a two smooth steps closer to her. You took a finger to her face and wiped a single tear away from her cheek. "You know, I absolutely hate to see a woman cry, but right now your eyes look are sparkling so beautifully. Did I ever tell you how marvelous they look from up close like this?"
Rebbecca's mouth gaped up and down as she searched for what to say, looking like she was chewing an invisible piece of bubblegum. "C....C.J!" was all she could say as she was more caught off guard than caught up in this sudden moment. "How many time have I told you not to call me Becky!" she shouted, not liking that her emotions had been so...exposed. What had happened? Suddenly you looked different somehow, like you were older, even slightly taller from your change in posture.
"Shhhh." you say quietly placing the same finger to her plump lips. "You look even cuter when your angry, you know that?" The two of you were almost nose to nose now and you could feel her warm breath quickening as it washed over your face. You slowly leaned in confident, assured, of what you were about to do, unafraid if anyone was watching. Rebbecca stood paralyzed unbelieving that this was really happening! She closed her eyes and...
*BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG*
That damn bell again! Oh well... you mutter, as slowly your eyes closed and then re-opened, the process much faster than before and with the drastic feinting. You blinked as you were suddenly aware Rebbecca was making a puckering fish face at you. Why? You wondered. Uh oh the last few minutes were suddenly a hazy memory...Was it because of your head injury? You stepped back away from Rebbecca slightly worried about the possibility of brain damage. Well there was no point in making Rebbecca worry too. Quick- say something and play it off like nothing is wrong.
"He-he" you say faking a laugh. "That is a funny face Becca. But that's the tardy bell, you better hurry to class."
Rebeca's face seemed to melt, turning from a pucker, to a mean frown. "What the hell C.J!" she shouts clearly very angry at you.
You had no idea what to say (or what you had just been talking about for that matter,) so you quickly sputtered out something, anything to distract from the fact you were having short term memory loss. "J-just see me after school at my place okay?" you say taking off.
Rebbecca didn't seem too satisfied with this answer, but she answered with a shout of "Fine!" anyways. She looked like she was a mix of angry, and strangely also confused. "You better be there!" was the last thing she said (more like threatened) before turning about and heading for her class. This left you alone and cold on the campus wondering what to do next.
You were supposed to head straight back but there was something you were going to do first...
OH YEAH! You were going to go see...
