At the academy the next day, posters for the Cooking Club are spread everywhere, all with your face notably plastered on them. You finally make it through the school day, and enter the club’s room. Bunnie Blake is already there and from the looks of it she’s had quite the head start for the club preparing a lot of food.
“Hey CJ thanks so much for coming, please have as much as you want.” she says smiling intently. She happily watches as you chew down on one of your favorite baked goods of hers, those creamy Chocolate Éclairs.
“Delicious” you say breathlessly finishing one of the rather large pastries and quickly helping yourself to a second. Bunnie returns your smile, serenely content watching you stuff yourself on her baked goods. If fact if you didn’t know any better you would think that she’d been trying to fatten you up since your first day here!
“If you think those are good you haven’t tried anything yet.” Claire’s voice suddenly cuts in sharply as the rest of her immediately enters the room, followed by a gaggle of girls, including Rebbecca and Kate with Mrs. Telleri bringing up the rear end of the group. Claire promptly walks up to you and holds up a tray full of the gooey chocolate brownies. “I made these today in cooking class of course with a little help from Mrs, Telleri! I know you’ll simply love them CJ!” She throws a knowing wink at Mrs.Telleri. Trying one you find the chocolate brownies are surprisingly good, additively good!
“Well it seems everyone is ready!" Said Mrs. Telleri. “But before the club can official begins, we need to elect a club representative. Any suggestions?” she asks the room.
“I elect Claire!” a girl’s voice calls from the group, and a round of cheers and aye’s go up.
“Any objections Claire?” asks Bunnie
“No mam” Claire answered pristine, ravishing any chance to be the center of attention.
The club continues normally from there, with the caring Bunnie showing her passion for cooking as well as some of her best tricks of the trade. Bunnie concluded the club session for the day by showing in great detail how to make her famous lasagna baked just right, handing around platefuls for the club to sample.
“Very good everyone!” Mrs.Telleri and I are look forward to seeing everyone's results at the next meeting.” she said happily, and you’re happy for her too now that the club has come off as big success.
“Wait Miss Blake…” said Claire impatiently raising her hand.
“Uhh…yes Claire?” Bunnie asked pointing a finger to her.
“I think we should have an official taste tester don’t you? I know every good cooking club has one”. Claire said using her new club head status to already throw her weight around.
“Really?” said Bunnie who definitely wanted to be a good cooking club.
"Oh yes! And I know just the person to elect for the position, CJ Dalton! All in favor?”
A cheer of “Aye” fills the classroom. You’re surprised to see even Kate and Bunny has their hands raised!
“Oh!” Bunnie said now fully understanding what Christine had in mind. “What a splendid idea, but you know we can’t force him to be taste tester for all of our food.”
“Awwwww!” moaned the crow of girls unanimously disappointingly.
“It’s up to you, do you want the position?” Bunnie asks eagerly awaiting your response. Her eyes tell you that it would be doing her a big favor if you were a regular, and you’d be bringing in even more supporters to her club. Thinking about it Bunnie Blake was one of the nicest people at the whole school and you'd love to help her out, but on the other hand whoever had the job would defiantly be putting on some weight as a result, not that you would really mind, but maybe it was a task better suited for someone else.
