"I have my own magic powers that aren't exactly connected to the Witching world." Jake replied, before holding his hand out, and igniting a orange/red flame,
"That's impossible." Mom said, before producing her own flame, seeing that its size matches that of Julie's, "Is that Chaotic Science?" She asked with a concerned tone to her voice.
Jake shook his head, "A Chaotic Scientist's flame looks different compared to mine." He replied,
"I am what we call, a Mystic Guardian."
"A Mystic Guardian?" Mom looked confused, "I have never heard of that."
"Doesn't surprise me." Jake replied, canceling the flame, "Mystic Guardians operate outside of the rules of the Witching world. We do however possess our own versions of the Witch Council, and the Head Witch, in the form of the Mystic Council and the Mystic Mother."
Mom, looking intrigued asks, "Does the Witch's Council know about the Mystic Guardians?"
Jake shook his head, "I'd be surprised if anyone in the Witching World still remembers. The Guardians date back to the same time frame as the Witching World." He replied, "When the hunt in Salem started, the Mystic Guardians had to go into hiding, in order to avoid their line ending up the way the Witches' line ended up being in the end of that disaster." Mom nodded, remembering the stories she read when she went to Witchbloom about how the Witching world was so close to going extinct, that they had to permanently transform various males in witch families into females to try and rebuild everything that was lost, "It was however probably for the best that the Witching World had forgot about the Mystic Guardians for centuries, or else it would have ended horribly for both sides."
Mom looked down at her papers, thinking about how that scenario would have played out, "The Mystic Guardians probably would have been wiped out by the Witches that felt betrayed." She said softly, then looked back up, "Are the Mystic Guardians like witches, in that you have to be born into it?" She asked.
Jake leaned against the wall, "They do." He replied, "However in order for it to be fully usable, the future Mystic Guardian must say, ''I believe in Magic!''. Each member though is born with the ability to not only use generic spells, but also ones related to the element they were born with. I was born with the element of Fire, that comes from my Dad's side of the family"
Mom looked at Jake then asked.
