"Look, they're huge!" Marina complained staring down to their now stretched feet, the fabric of the socks stretched to such a degree that their feet were now visible in various places. "Like clown feet" Ryoko muttered to herself as she bent down beginning to remove her socks.
"What are you doing" Marina gasped watching her friend. Ryoko gave a small grunt of effort as she removed the first sock from her foot. She hadn't realized how much that growth had made her feet sweat as she could now feel the cool air on her soles, "Look, that was painful, Ryoko reported to her friend, If it happens again, I don't want to have to feel that again" She grabbed her other sock and began peeling that one off as well. "Plus our shoes are destroyed already. If we step on something our socks aren't going to do anything to protect us."
Marina frowned, she couldn't disagree with what her friend was saying, but walking around barefoot was almost as embarrassing as having these giant feet. Marina shook her head "No I can't, she told her friend adamantly "If someone sees me, I'll never live it down." Ryoko rolled her eyes as she stood up, she lifted her now bare foot and rolled her ankle to test it. It still seemed to be working fine, and it didn't look swelled, just bigger. Luckily it wasn't at a size that was unnatural, not yet at least. Ryoko placed her foot down on the wooden hall floor. "That's your problem then." Ryoko pointed out as she began walking.
"Where are you going?" Marina asked her friend, "We should head to the library and see if we can find out why this is happening to us, I don't much like having these enormous feet. Maybe we should stop at a store first and pick up some bigger shoes first. Nobody will stare at us then." Marina noticed her friend was still walking so she ran to catch up to her.
"No," Ryoko told her, the tone of her voice clearly showing how bad she thought the idea was. "There are professionals who already deal with this kind of thing on a daily basis. I say we go to a doctor and let them sort this out."
