Fly

    by: scriptboy Author IconMail Icon
After you gotten home from the hospital, you were feeling very light-headed and sick. You got something to eat and you immediately went to sleep afterwards, since you weren't feeling well at all. You figure that whatever had struck you, had messed up your system and you needed to get some rest to recover from some sickness. You got in your room and crawled in bed early, sleeping through the night clear until morning.

When the alarm went off at 6 o'clock the next morning, you rolled around in bed, as you normally would do. However, you noticed something really odd. Even though you were holding on to the pillow with both hands, as you always did, you couldn't feel the sheets or the mattress under you. The sheets and the covers were still draped over your chest, but something felt strange.

As you slowly turned around, the covers suddenly fell from your back and shoulders, leaving your entire body exposed. Luckily, you were wearing your pajama's, otherwise you would have felt cold. Again, you couldn't feel the mattress under your torso. It almost felt like you were sleeping on air.

Then you opened your eyes. Yes, your bed was still there. You were still in your room. Your sheet and covers had fallen to the floor. However... You were hovering three feet above your bed!

“Huh? What the---” you moan as you rub your eyes and look down. “Where's my bed?”

Then, it dawned on you. You spent the entire night sleeping while hovering suspended in the air about three feet above your bed! In other words, you were flying all night long! You're floating like a balloon!

“WHOA!” you gasp, as it dawns on you that you're three feet away from the carpeted floor.

“I need to get down!” you say to yourself, as you drop your pillow to the floor. “How did I get up here?”

“You try to imagine your body landing with your feet first on the floor right by your bed. It begins to succeed at first, as your body slowly descends to the floor. Your toes are sticking out, facing to the carpet, and they gently touch down on the carpet. You breathe a sigh of relief, as you made your first landing.

“This is weird! I guess I gained the ability to fly or something!” you wonder out loud.

You feel an intense pressure building in your chest, which almost seems like your powers to go flying needed to be tested and soon. You take two steps towards your dresser when you suddenly begin to hover above the ground once again!

“Oh man! I'm airborne again!” you gasp, realizing that your feet had left the ground.

For the second time around, you concentrate on lending on the floor. This time, it works out a little easier than the first time, and you land on the ground. But, as soon as you begin to walk towards your closet, your body wants to take flight again.

“Okay, I guess I'll need to fly around a bit...” you sigh, as you extend your arms above your head.

Your body lifts up off the ground and starts to float around the room. The tingling pressure in your chest immediately decreases and you feel much better right away.

You fly two circles around your room, and you finally touch down next to your bed.

“Dang! I can fly! This is freakish! It's cool, but freakish!”

From this point forward, you got no problem staying on the ground. But you know what to look out for, and to be ready to take off and to fly around now and then, especially when that odd tingling feeling comes back in your chest!

You're not ready yet to fly around at school, but flying home when school was over begins to sound like a great idea...

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. You fly around at school anyway

*Noteb*
2. You go flying after school

*Noteb*
3. You tell a friend about your cool new power

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
