This was not how Jasmine envisioned finally meeting Jake face to face after all these years and she looked around. There was an abandoned shed nearby on the farm road heading towards town and she ignored the bully still curled in a fetal position on the ground and heaved Jake up into her arms and strode over to the shed. Kicking the door in heedlessly she strode in, found some straw and gently placed Jake down on it.
Her knowledge of magic beyond the instinctual was... limited. Her father was far better at such things than she, but she did manage a weak healing spell to minimize what the bully had done. Soon Jake's eyes began to flutter and Jasmine found her heart speeding up for a very different reason. All these years, all this time watching him from afar, and now she could meet him.
She leaned over and as his eyes flickered open she smiled down at him.
