Naruto had just finished fighting pein and was on his way to confront the man. It has been just over three years since he fund the body swap jutsu and Naruto decided that he would not swap with anyone from Konoha. He saw them nearly every day and they just did not seem to have any appeal. Finding the fake tree the two akatsuki members were hiding in, Naruto grabs hold and rips part of it aside. Stepping inside, Naruto is confronted with Konan as she steps into Naruto's path. Upon seeing Konan and the true rinnegan, not the copies from the false bodies, Naruto has a plan to use the swap jutsu for the first time.

With Nagato now dead, Naruto realizes that the scroll is only good for one swap a day, and he wants to swap with Konan soo badly, but the eyes!
"Konan, Stay in Konoha, you just quit the akatsuki and Nagato revived everyone, so there should be no hard feelings, I have also proven I can protect myself and we can not risk Madara getting those eyes. Let me hide them as well. At the very least you need to stay because I highly doubt that Madara will be okay with you just quitting the Akatsuki.
"You win Naruto, I'll stay in Konoha."
Hearing Konan say those words, Naruto preforms his first ever swap.
