Was that....Cynder? With Ignitus? Malefor smiled devilishly at the opportunity to get back at his former general and the Guardian of Fire for aiding in his defeat and imprisonment.
Malefor flew closer, both dragons oblivious to his presence, to eavesdrop on their conversation.
"I'm not sure," he heard Ignitus say, "If I pick him, I'm afraid they'll accuse me of playing favoritism. He is my cousin, after all."
"He's very capable for the position," Cynder said, "He'll make an excellent Fire Guardian."
Ignitus sighed and said, "Very well then, I'll pick him. I must go now. I have very important matters to attend to."
"I as well," said Cynder.
They departed, going down their own seperate path.
The entire conversation got Malefor thinking. A new Fire Guardian? Ignitus is retiring? This is an interesting turn of events. So much has changed since he was imprisoned.
It made him curious and he wanted to look around more.
But the qeustion was: should he explore a bit more or should he stick to his plan and torment either Cynder or Ignitus?
