But nothing happened, much to Cynder's relief.

He stepped forward again, succeeding on touching the gem. But nothing happened, much to Cynder's relief.
"See, nothing," Spyro said with a grin, nudging the gem gently.
"Alright, alright," Cynder sighed, "but it's best we leave the thing here."
"Why?" Spyro exclaimed, "I mean, think about; we can take it back to Warfang and let the guardians examen it."
Cynder thought about the suggestion, her claw resting on her chin. "I guess we could," she said slowly, "But I'm telling, Spyro: we should leave this thing here."
The purple dragon smiled, saying: "I knew you would agree."
Cynder only rolled her eyes, watching Spyro rip the gem the air. He held it in his paw for a moment, studying it, before he nodded at Cynder.
They both took off into the air, heading towards the dragon city.
