It had been a long day of training for Alex and his Pokemon especially Lugia and it was time to take a break. So alex decided to call it quits for today and make camp. Lugia and Alex curl up next to the fire, letting yourselves unwind. Seeing lugia so relaxed reminded him of how they first met. Back when he was first starting out he heard rumours about a legendary Pokemon and set out to catch it. Little did he know the pokemon he was looking for was none other than lugia and his first attempt to catch it ended about as well as you thought . His team got destroyed by lugia but he did not give up, he keep challenging her with raw determination until one day with your last Pokemon on it last legs you threw a pokeball and managed to catch her.
That was the happiest day of your life, all your hard work and persistence had finally payed off. All those times he wanted to catch her was not for the bragging rights but because he wanted to prove that he was worthy of her. To him she was the most beautiful, majestic, kindest Pokemon he had ever seen even if she always playfully taunted him to get better everytime he lost. Upon checking the pokedex you found out that lugia was not just a she but a hermaphrodite but you just thought that it made her more unique. From that day forward through all the battles and hardships your bond grew.
She wasn't just your partner/ace in the hole but your best friend but lately she had entered a little bit of a funk. Normally in combat Lugia was his best Pokemon but now she was having trouble landing hits one her opponents even with the the moves that he thought were surely hit, zoning out in the middle of a fight, panting or attacks just straight up failed. After trying out every remedy you had on hand you thought that maybe sometime on Mount Lanakila would clear your heads and get back on track.
So far it has not worked but you still don't know whats wrong with her. She is not sick but you don't know whats wrong with her but he would do try to do whatever he could to help. Alex rubs her head and asks her "Whats wrong girl" . She suddenly looks up at alex stammering "oh you mean me, nothing, nothing at all" but her response doesn't fill you with confidence. But it was getting late so Alex decided he would deal with it tomorrow and went to bed.
