Maria shivered in the night breeze. She didn’t know how far from land her lifeboat was, the ship that she was on had sunk and many of the other passengers hadn’t made it. The rough sea had separated and scattered the survivors, the only thing Maria saw in the moonlight was an endless expanse of water.
