You remove the lid, and find the jar is full of different colored beans. You pour a few out onto the table, and study them intently. Well, the only thing you can actually determine is that they are an assortment of around a dozen different colors, and all about the same size ' giving a very good impression of just being small sweets. All seem pretty harmless, and potentially a strange thing to be left in what was allegedly a Witch's belongings.
Oh well, guess these are probably past their best now anyway, knowing how short 'sell by' dates seem to be nowadays. You are tempted to tip the whole lot into the bin, but before you do you hear the chimes of the front door. Remembering that your girlfriend Stacey is due over, you head out from your room to let her in, knowing that you are currently alone in the house.
Stacey is a year younger than you, and quite pretty, although perhaps not the stunner you always thought you'd insist on, and with perhaps a little more weight than she really should be carrying ' although she's been trying to loose a pound or two for ages.
You let her in, and give her a kiss, and then lead her back to your room. Her eyes immediately notice the jar of beans, and the loose ones scattered on the table. Without even thinking about it she picks up one and pops it into her mouth.
'Oh, I wouldn't do that' you say, realizing that it's probably a bit late. 'They're way past their sell-by date and probably taste pretty yucky.'
'Too late.' was Stacey's reply. 'didn't taste of much anyway.'
You both sit, and start making plans for the rest of the day. Stacey had been hoping that you could both head for the beach to enjoy the summer weather, and had brought her swimsuit with her, and you agreed to pack up some food and drinks.
You get up, ready to head to the kitchen to make up some rolls for the outing, but then notice something about Stacey'.
