You wink back at the cheerleader. However, you doubt she sees you, because you're so tiny. But hey, three inches is pretty tall, taller than some books, and she grins at you, causing you to grin back. Finally the applause stops, and you're set down inside a small, dollhouse desk that's sitting on top of a regular student-sized desk.
"Now!" says Mr. Smithers. "We're going to be learning about the countries Rwanda and Burundi and what kind of conflict they're having. Ms. Lee, what continent are Rwanda and Burundi located?"
A girl with dark, long hair with blood red highlights answers. "South America, Sir."
"Wrong, Ms. Lee," says Mr. Smithers. "Anyone else?"
You and the hot blonde cheerleader raise your hands. Mr. Smithers nods at the cheerleader.
"Umm...Australia, Mr. Smithers?"
The class bursts out laughing. Your ears throb again, and you can't help but feel furious.
"Could you please stop laughing at her!" you shout as loud as you can.
Only the boy next to you, who strangely resembles Eminem, hears you. He gives you a light push, enough to sway you but not enough to throw you out of your chair. Like a warning. "Hey, punk. You think you can stop this class from laughin', is that it?"
You glare hotly at him. You relax a little when he says, "Watch me do my job. You can do a bit learnin' from me."
Well, at least he's willing to let me learn...even if he's too stupid to learn from, you think to yourself.
"YO, CLASS!" says the gangsta, cupping his hands. "WHAT THE DILIO WITH DISSIN' MY HOMIE, EH? SHUT THE HELL UP!!!"
Mr. Smithers glares over his spectacles.
"Excuse me, Mr. Goldberg, but that language is not allowed in my classroom. Please do not repeat that."
"Okay, cool off," says Goldberg. "Sorry."
The laughter finally cools down, and Smithers says to Lee, "Sorry, but Australia is both a continent and a country."
"Oh." Lee blushes. "Sorry."
"Anyone else?"
You raise your hand.
"Yes, Mark?"
