"We don't even know these people Kat," Dan exclaimed.
"But they think you're so cute!" Kat responded in a mocking baby tone.
"You said people see me as the family pet right? What exactly do they see? A cat, dog, hamster?"
"Whatever their mind picks. To that lady you may look like an orange tabby cat, while that baby sees you as a little chihuahua!"
"Whatever, if I was an animal -- could I do this?" Dan reached over and tried to lick his elbow - but he couldn't. His forearms felt stiff. "What's going on Kat?"
"I told you! Now, come along little brother," Kat tugged at thin air like a mime and Dan felt a jerking on his neck.
"Ack! You could be a little bit more gentle!"
"Silence, pet! One more peep out of you and I'll take your talking privileges away too!"
Dan was silent and followed his older sister as they continued through town.
"Oooh, they're having a clothing sale! Let's go inside!"
"Kat, I don't think they'll let pets in,"
"Then I'll just leave you outside,"
