She she made her way into the shell of the city, the refugees and survivors who had previously bore the burden of her tyrannical wrath began to flee to their shelters. The streets, though still mostly deserted, began to be criss-crossed by the emaciated civilians who knew all too well what would happen should they be unfortunate enough to be caught in her path. She placed each of colossal feet one in front of the other as she stepped almost nimbly through the streets between the crumbling buildings. This had been her domain for some time now, and she was happy to see that it was just as she left it. When she finally came to rest at the remains of the old bank building, the young man ducked behind a nearby dumpster. She was close, so close that he could she the dust stirred up from her breath. "Now now little ones, there must be someone out there left to entertain me...or do I have to go looking again" she said in a sharp tone. He knew he wouldn't last long if she caught him. He quickly searched around him for a possible place to hide, but all the buildings in front of him were barricaded or covered in rubble. The only option was to sneak past her and head back home. It was risky but he did not want to sit and wait for her to discover him. He had seen what she'd done to her other "friends" and grew anxious just thinking about the torment he'd endure. He crept around the block and saw that the massive woman had her back to him. He began running from cover to cover as he made his way around her. Meanwhile she had rolled over and rested on her side, picking through the buildings looking for humans. "Ahh there you are" she cooed as her hand slipped through a massive hole in the side of one skyscraper. She withdrew a trembling figure whom she then deposited on her thigh before continuing her search. He sighed with relief, she was distracted. He decided to make a break for it across the deserted urban corridor but as he began to sprint across the cracked pavement he saw her hulking form shift. Startled by her movement and the tremor she created he crashed into a nearby trashcan which sent him sprawling to the ground. His head and hands ached as he caught himself on the gravel below and as soon as he realized what had happened he shut his eyes. He knew she would discover him now, it was only a matter of time. The giantess spun her head around to address the disturbance and saw the tiny figure laying deathly still on the ground. A devilish smile crept across her face as she reached over and plunked his body off the street and brought it closer to her face. "Now now who's this..."
