The world had forever changed. All around the world giant women had appeared and began wreaking havoc on nearby communities. It was a very strange phenomenon, one that had yet to be explained, all that the world knew was that these women, all came from sociable backgrounds. These giantesses were very different from their formal selves; they became self-absorbed, vain, violent, aggressive, cruel, and a host of other bizarre behavioral deviations. Most had devastated their native areas but they had been dispatched by the military forces of the world. However some of the larger ones were easily capable of defending themselves. Much of the world's military had been exhausted combating them, and a few of the more powerful ones remained.
Meanwhile in a small city in northern Virginia, the remaining inhabitants milled about the remains of their town. Most had fled west to escape the onslaught, and now only half remained. Most of the largest buildings had been reduced to rubble and the modern amenities that had once been a keystone of modern life were now gone. Electricity, and running water were gone; food was scarce and people were forced to live in a state of poverty. A young man, crossed an empty street , lugging a heavy jug of water behind him. He took a moment to rest, wiping the sweat from his brow. The heat of the dimming June evening was greater than he had expected. 'Can't stop now, gotta get back before dark' he thought to himself. As he continued on his mind began to wander again, 'I wonder when she'll be back...if she comes back'. The sun began to slip behind the crests of two nearby mountains, finally providing some much needed shade. 'I hope she's gone for good this time...' he thought again. However his train of thought was quickly interrupted when he felt something. At first he ignored it but a second later he felt it again. He set down the water jug again...he looked down and saw a ripple reverberate through it. He seemed to grow in intensity, he hadn't felt this since...since it all began. He look up towards the horizon and saw....
