"Okay Amy, I trust you... I suppose I can go with you, but I still have a family in this village. I want you to promise me that I'll still be allowed to visit them every once in a while."
"I don't see why not! Actually, you aren't the first human who has requested that setup. A lot of the humans we've taken to our village have made that same deal with us, and now they live peacefully alongside us."
"Well, that's reassuring... I just have one more question though. Why do the centaurs ransack our village?!"
"Honestly, I'm still too young to understand the full reasoning behind it... Something about a 'shortage of resources', or something like that... Anyway, the queen says that it's vital to do it if we're going to preserve the village... I don't see why we can't just ask the humans to share, but I'm not the queen, so I wouldn't have a say in the matter anyway..."
"So who is this queen? Is she hooked on some violent traditions or something?"
"Oh no, not at all! Actually, the queen is really rather gentle!"
"Then why does she order you to attack our villages?"
"I think that I overheard someone say once that she had a bad experience with a group of humans in the past, and now she thinks that the only way to get anything from them is to take it by force... Either way, she still gave us specific orders to never kill any humans, so I think she still cares about them deep down..."
"Wow... Sounds like your leader must have had a traumatic past..."
"I guess so... Well, are you ready to go?"
"Is it okay if I go get some food and other stuff from my house first?"
"Sure, just don't tell anyone where you're going..."
"Why not?"
"Queen's orders... Something about 'If a human that we're bringing back to the village tells anyone where their going, then they'll track us to our village and send an army to wipe us out'."
"Oh, okay... In that case, I'll make this quick..."
Fiona then walked to her house. She grabbed a backpack and filled it with the essentials for survival. She then returned to the location where Amy had been waiting.
"Okay Amy, I'm ready now!"
"Good! Okay Fiona, hop on!"
Fiona climbed onto Amy's back and wrapped her arms around Amy's human-half's waist.
"Alright Fiona, hold on tight!
Amy then started galloping off toward the forest. She was smiling to herself about having made her first human friend, and she was confident that she and Fiona would get along well.
