"That doesn't sound nay better. Live with these girls or those girls. Be taught by my Mum or my Mum's friend or my Mum's sister." you complained.
"Well what do you suggest?" you mother asked crossing her arms.
You had no answer. You looked to your father.
"Maybe he's more of a man than I thought. Maybe you're ready to head out into the real world."
"You mean?" your mother asked.
"Yeah, get a job." your father said with a grin.
"Uh yeah." you say.
Your Mum looked at your Dad who looked at you and then both seemed to smile.
"Okay, you've got till the end of summer to get yourself a full time job. No paper rounds or anything like that." Your Dad said.
"And if I do?" you asked.
"Well worlds your oyster son."
"And if I don't?"
"Well we'll cross that bridge when we come to it." said your mother.
With it settled you had your last night as a student and prepared yourself for your first working day. That was if you could find a job. The town wasn't big enough for a high school so it didn't have a load of job opportunities. Plus you had never really worked before. Would anyone want you? With all this swimming around your head you went to bed for the night.
You woke early with the sound of your mother in the kitchen and your Dad leaving the bathroom. It took a few minutes before you realised that nobody was going to call for you to get up. You weren't a kid anymore.
