Xander dropped his hands from his hair and blinked his eyes. He did it again. He squeezed his eyes shut and rubbed the heels of his palms against his eyes. Because he could not be seeing what he was seeing. It was not possible that he was somehow, some way looking down on Earth. He was looking down on the planet.
Looking down on it like he was no longer on it. Like he was in space. Slowly, afraid to even breathe, Xander tilted his head left and then right looking around himself. It seemed like he was in a building, metal floor, walls and ceiling, doorway far off to the left, doorway far off to the right, apparently he was in a hallway. Xander tried to reassure himself that that was it. That was the only thing wrong. He'd just... some how gone from sitting in his bedroom to being in a office building hallway without noticing he was walking... somewhere. Xander didn't exactly believe that one himself, and frankly, he was pretty good at lying to himself.
"Ahem?" a voice asked from behind Xander.
Slowly Xander turned and felt his eyes widen and the blood drain from his face. He whispered, "Oh, mother puss bucket!"
As he lost consciousness Xander's eyes remained locked on the being before him. He couldn't believe he was looking at-
