So, a female Human Guard - let's start with some options:
Sally Butcher: 18 years old, but is slim enough, and flat-chested enough to pass as a slightly short, and narrow man, and thus had signed up as John Smith - however, she was easily found out by Rutabaga, as you can't fool a werewolf's nose. Needless to say, the Quartermaster was filled with relief, as there was yet another ten John Smiths on the force, and finding out that one was really Sally Butcher made things easier on Pay Day. Coming from a family of Butchers, hence the family name, her father wanted her to marry a wealthy husband, but she wanted none of that. New to the job, Sally has her work cut out for her.
Fiona Nightshade: 27 years old. Fiona was once an Assassin, that's with a Capital A, who was skilled with poisons, and other toxins, plus other weapons. She was soon given a contract - Rutabaga Copperfindersson. Things did not turn out according to plan, in a number of ways. While she knew what the penalty for failure tended to be where the werewolf was concerned, it seems that someone else had hired a non-Assassin assassin to try to kill the Commander. Needless to say, the Assassins' Guild doesn't approve of such things, and thus, Fiona went after the non-Assassin assassin, and, while she managed to kill him, she was fatally wounded, and would have died had Rutabaga not located her, and taken her to a good Healer. When she recovered enough to go after the werewolf, she found herself in a predicament that prevented her from killing the one that had saved her life, and thus, dropped her weapon, and allowed the werewolf to punish her - of course, he took it relatively easy on her, as she was still recovering from her injuries. While she still does the occasional Contract Job, Fiona soon joined the Guard, partially in gratitude, and partially to keep an eye on the Commander for the Assassins.
Lora Slasher: 30 years old. Lora is a Monster Slayer, a job similar to being an Assassin, but for targeting Non-Humans instead. That being said, there's plenty of risks to the job. After all, bring down a renegade dragon, and folks consider you a Hero - kill an Innocent dragon however, who was obeying the law, and you won't be able to get out of town fast enough before the dragon's family gets their Justifiable Revenge, and burns you to ashes. Of course, despite being a Monster Slayer, Lora has plenty of Non-Human friends, and the occasional tryst with them. That being said, while being a Slayer can be highly rewarding, it isn't often she gets a Contract, and thus took to being a Guard to pay the bills.
Yokin Onaka - 25 years old. A foreigner from a foreign land called Eastrimland (in the Big Fat Pig language), Yokin had been captured and sold into Slavery, and was to be sold as a Sex Slave, along with a number of other foreign women from all over, and a number of men who were to be used for Labor. Slight problem - seems that Slavery is Illegal in the Big Fat Pig City area, and the Slave Trader was forced to give up his goods, or be executed for certain crimes, like Tax Evasion, and Failure to Pay Workers, and Kidnapping People for Forced Labor, Kidnapping People for Forced Sex, and, most importantly, kicking a dog, a dog that was wearing a City Guard badge, a dog that was really a werewolf, a werewolf who turned out to be Rutabaga Copperfinderson, who was just out for a walk and it's really a bad idea to kick a Guard that's just out for a walk, as he might arrest you for Assaulting a Guard! Needless to say, while the other slaves were found places to stay at, in areas where folks spoke and understood them, until they could either go back home or found a place to stay on at, Yokin was so foreign, there was no one who understood her, so Rutabaga let her stay at the Station, where it turns out that Yokin was a really good cook, and given that good cooks were in short supply, Rutabaga hired her on. Eventually, Yokin learned the language, and asked to become a Guard, where it was discovered she was a natural with unarmed combat, enough to the point that even the most muscular and well-armed thugs tend to surrender upon seeing her - if they are smart. Those that aren't smart, soon learn to surrender.
