They take her to a place where Mammoth Mutt is ...

The Dog Stars took Mammoth Mutt to an alternative space where she can expand freely without worries about crushing populated planets in the universes. However, the way she was expand, it would be no surprise that she would outgrow it. So this was not a permanent solution.

Mammoth Mutt was still expanding from both her powers and the water she was filling herself up with. Already outgrowing a solar system, she continue to round up even more without a sign of stopping. Mammoth Mutt gulped down more of the water from the hose. Eventually she tripled her size and was close to filling up a whole universe.

You have the following choices:

1. The hoses stops working and Mammoth Mutt just inflates regularly.

2. Mammoth Mutt expanded even more rapidly
