John woke up in a cold sweat, he had been having nightmares a lot recently. He thought it was just from his new bed but this was different, he had been dreaming about that when he touched anything it disintegrated into fine dust. Gingerly he reached out his hand and tapped his alarm clock and was happy to find it didn't turn into fine dust.
He looked at his alarm clock, seeing that it only had another ten minutes until the alarm went off he got out of bed and got dressed in his stuffy private school uniform. He hated it, the stupid tie and blazer got really hot in the spring months. John's family were very well off, his dad was a shareholder in Microsoft, apple, and valve. John stumbled down the landing, tripping over his brothers skate boards as he walked quickly towards the stairs of there large apartment in the tallest building in Britain, The Shard, in the middle of London.
He rushed to the kitchen to make his breakfast but when he went to pick up the knife to butter the toast all the cutlery in the draw turned to carbon as he picked up the knife. John didn't notice until he went to put the knife in the butter, then it snapped, the blade of the butter knife was in two pieces one attached to the handle. He picked up the carbon butter knife pieces and through them in the bin. He ate his toast dry thinking that his brothers had put more traps in there.
The ride to school was uneventful as usual but when he got to school he started thinking about that mornings events when suddenly he was awoken from his daydreaming when he heard a familiar voice "Hello John" Charlie said as he sat next to you.
"Salutations Charlie" John greeted back. Charlie laughed at John's choice of vernacular* today. But his laughter was cut short by the kid In front of them pushing his chair back so violently that it moved Johns and Charlies table back into there abdomens.
